Michigan Friday: It's Starting To Look A Lot Like Exitmas

Nothing to See Here - Move Along!

This is how Harbaugh and Warde Manuel are treating Michigan football right now.   Blame is on both sides.  Jimmy doesn't deserve a raise or a extension, getting this program to mediocre and/or whatever this year was.  If he has a extension on his desk, sign it and rebuild your staff or resign.   Nobody wants to fire you.  I know you keep your head in the sand but wake the "fuck" up, you haven't won and that is the bottom line.   Become the Jets problem now.

Warde this is business decision and you need to show some leadership and give this sinking ship some direction.  I have zero confidence you are working on a exit strategy for Harbaugh and replacing him with a great candidate.  PROVE ME WRONG!

Speaking of Exit Strategies, you know who has one?  The current players.

Zach Carpenter the expected starting center next year, just jumped into the transfer portal.  Intel is saying he misses his girlfriend and doesn't get along with OL coach Warriner.   I also think the situation above isn't helping.

Giles Jackson is re-tweeting a bunch of transfer portal posts on twitter.   He mysteriously was not available for Michigan's last game they played against Penn State.   Thought it might be COVID but now it seems he might be looking to leave.

Charbonnet had that long run against Minnesota and we haven't seen him since.   Best guess is that he is gone and going to be a beast somewhere.

Chris Evans, Ben Mason, Nick Eubanks, and Carlo Kemp all could have come back due to the "no eligibility" lost rule this year.   All 4 signed to be in the East West Shrine Bowl.   I think its fair to say each guys showed glimpses of greatness but overall disappointed in their time in A2.

Insiders believe there could 6-7 guys in the portal the next few weeks.    Awesome news.

  • MSU CB Julian Barnett is also now in the portal.

  • Michigan Basketball hosts Penn State on Sunday at 2:00 on BTN and then has a nice 11 day layoff before they travel to Nebraska on Christmas.

Fire harbaugh now. Take the lumps from transfer portal and lost recruits. Actually hire a competent staff that can coach, and recruit. rebuild and maybe by 2024 if Covid doesn't destroy the world Michigan football can be relevant again.

And maybe consider lowering admission standards so you can a coach has reasonable chance to field a competitive team in the modern era. Then sit back and enjoy the playoffs & the extra revenue from a successful program.

I think players are leaving because of Harbaugh, not in spite of him. He's always had the reputation of being a Richard, and as long as your winning, guys will put up with a lot of crap. But this program has devolved into a shit show and I think the players know what most us either won't admit or don't want to know. JH is not the guy everyone thought he was. He's not some football savant. Maybe he was in the right place at the right time, maybe he hit homeruns with all or most of his assistant hires prior to AA and maybe having players like Andrew Luck covers up a lot of your faux pas. No matter the reason, its time for both Jim and the UoM to move on from each other.

Harbaugh is not going to leave and forfeit a 10 million dollar buyout. If he wanted to be Michigans coach he would have signed the contract and put this business behind him. Warde is going be forced to choose between a 10 mil. buyout or having Harbaugh coach in the final contract year. Knowing he doesn't want be there & no one wants him there. That would destroy recruiting most likely for 2 cycles & make michigan once again look inept. As more transfers pile up & michigan plummets in the recruiting rankings. Warde must fire him. And what is the B.S. about waiting until the season is over? I'm pretty sure it's over do your damn job Warde.

Sports teams only exist because the school exists. Lowering the admission standards is like the tail wagging the dog. When schools become financially in trouble they don't cut academics they cut sports and extra curricular activities. The academics of the University of Michigan has done more for the good of the world than the sports aspects have ever done. I want to win, but not at any cost. Further more I doubt any of us really know what's going on behind the doors at Schembechler Hall or what is all involved in forming a contract for a big time college coach. Telling Warde to do his job because he's not doing what you want doesn't mean he's not doing his job. Enjoy the Holidays and let the chips fall where they may, as the decision is not ours. Go Blue and Merry Christmas!!!

I will never ever support lowering our academic standards. What makes Michigan, Michigan is our academic not just our football legacy. I think deep down inside coach H wants to stay at Michigan and bring back the glory days. Personally I think coach H need better coordinators around him. I only hear Don Brown recruit the NE, I haven’t heard him bring in anyone big. We should have kept coach Mattison, he can recruit his hurt off. For offense I think coach H needs to bring Jedd Fish back. Our power offense will work just trickle in some RPO. Look what we did to ND last year with power running. Spread offense isn’t everything...... just saying.

If Michigan is intrested in being an academic powerhouse perhaps a move to the ivy league would be a more appropriate conference for the Wolverines. Fact is,in modern football I dont believe Michigan can expect success on the football field. While expecting a higher academic standard then its competitors. To add to that I'm not a fan of Michigan mathematics or a fan of Michigan liberal arts I'm not a fan of Michigan chemistry or biology. I'm a Michigan football fan & I want to kick the crap out of ohio state , alabama ,clemson & Notre dame. That's my only concern.i totally understand others point of view. But for me its football & nothing else. Go blue.....( unless we go ivy league)😁

Woooooo we got lucky today in our basketball game vs penn st. We should have lost this one honestly. The turn over is a huge problem that coach Howard needs to fix. Under coach B we did a much better job with fouling and turning the ball over. Fundamentally we are not that sound under coach Howard yet. Penn st grabbed a lot of offense rebounds. Offense rebounds and turn overs kept them in the game. Dickson is av stud, good to see Brooks stepping up. Wagner has long ways to go, he is NOT nba ready. Make you wonder because of Smith transferring, did that hurt Wagner’s development? Any how good we won a close game.

This coach H contract situation is killing our recruiting!!! Watch out for kids transferring out as well.

Let’s hire coach Gus Malzahn as an offensive coordinator and bring back coach Durkin for defensive coordinator.

Ole Gus is making 21 million to stay home. It seems some university's dont mind snatching off the bandaid when needed.
