Michigan Friday: Disney World Wants All The Wagners

Moe Wagner finished the season with the Orlando Magic but its hard to know if he will be on the roster when the season starts.   We do his brother will be as the Magic took Franz #8 last night.   It would great if they could both be in Orlando at the same time, as I assume they would live together and make Franz transition to the NBA much easier.  Iggy also finished the season with the Magic but I doubt he will be on next season's roster.   The Magic also took Gonzaga guard Jalen Suggs with the #5 pick,  so they are loaded with top young talent.

The Pistons also had a big night with the #1 pick Cade Cunningham, Michigan's own #42 Isaiah Livers, and NCAA player of the year Luka Garza at #52, also a FSU Center at #57.   Talk about 3 huge NCAA names with Cunningham, Livers and Garza and you can also see the early imprint from Coach B now with the Pistons in a advisor role.

Chaundee Brown has signed a free agent offer with the LA Lakers who just traded their entire bench to Washington for Russ Westbrook, who is clearly Brown's spirit animal.  LA will also be looking to keep low cost contracts on the roster having to pay 3 superstars.

Smith got invited to play the Summer League with the NBA Champions Milwaukee Bucks.  Good luck to all the former Wolverines.

  • DT Instate Devonte Mills has de-committed from Michigan and it seems the new coaching staff was looking for more evaluation and was not bought in on the 3 star DT.
  • CB's keep coming in for Texas LB Jeremy Patton to Michigan.
  • As I expected Jake Butt has now retired from the NFL.  Good luck in your next chapter!
