Dear Jimmy,
The first two weeks have gone swimmingly and lets hope things continue with Northern Illinois this week. I don't know if your are a dog lover (you seem like a dog guy) but your team is playing back to back teams with the mascot Huskies. That is one good looking dog. I see UConn is on next years schedule which will make a Huskies hat trick. Interesting trend here.
Another trend us Big House Blog fans enjoy is winning, please keep it up. This is your easiest game left on the schedule and would like to see another dominating effort. Yes, we want you to run the ball for 300 yards but we would also like to see the team build more confidence in the passing game. I know Washington's defense for most of the game was to protect the pass and you took that opening and ran over them. Still, we will need a passing game to beat the better teams and our important road games that start in a couple of weeks.
I'm also a bit concerned about punt return, I know you and your son are on it. But this is something we want to get solidified before the Big Ten starts.
Another warning, please don't sleep on NIU. They have a QB that knows how to win ugly in the Big House and made fools of Michigan's 2020 secondary and Don Brown last season. The Huskies already have a win over an ACC school in Georgia Tech this season and was a few plays away from making a full comeback against Wyoming last weekend. This is one of the better MAC teams and would like to see Hutch and Michigan's DT's living in the backfield. This is the definition of a trap game, Michigan played a full energy game on Saturday night and next week the Big Ten season starts. I know there will be a ton of interest having JJ in the game, but I would like to see Cade get more comfortable in the passing game. A Western Michigan replay (minus the early drive) would be a nice re-run.
If you and your team needs motivation on Saturday, remind them what Rocky Lombardi did last year in his best game as a college QB. Also remind them, even though your team ran through a PAC 12 Powerhouse last week, most of the nation is not buying your team and won't until the end of the year. Keep the energy and motivation up. Good teams don't have trap games.

Michigan will definitely be passing more and running when they need to. Normally as a rule of thumb if you see a problem in execution in a game then you know they've had issues (for the most part) with execution in practice. We've got to get it right against NIU so I wouldn't be surprised to see more than one QB this week if Cade (et al) is still struggling with the passing game. This is a trap game in that everyone knows this, and NIU and future opponents will scheme against the run forcing them to pass. This could be a make or break game for Cade. We should know who Michigan's QB is when the Rutgers game starts. IMHO!!!
Guys this is not a trap game...matter of fact there is no such thing as a trap game...play every game like a championship game and whatever happens it meant to happen....anyways Michigan wins big....

Congrats, Bucknutboy. That might well be your dumbest, most nonsensical post. Someone launch the fireworks!!
This post from ole bucknutssackboy has to be a close second to the dumbest. "Tighten up on the coverage and put more pressure on the quarterback?!?" That's brilliant...

I like what I seen from McDonald from first game...two things I do need Michigan defense to do is tighten up on the coverage a little bit more...and put some pressure on the QB....
I’ll eat crow. The passing game came out and we hit on all cylinders. Go blue
Guys just relax...we just beat a MAC team..let's see what happens when we play big boys....good win...
