Michigan Friday: News and Notes

  • Jordan Poole continues his unbelievable playoff performances with another 27-point 69% shooting last night.   The Warriors will be scary if they stay healthy during the playoffs.
  • Happy Birthday to Duncan Robinson!
  • Michigan hosted CA 2024 five-star DB Peyton Woodyard yesterday
  • PFF says Dax Hill gave up 1TD the last 2 years
  • 2023 4-star DL Jahsear Whittington just committed to Pitt and then gets a call from Grant Newsome with an offer.
  • Sounds like Michigan and Donovan Jeter couldn't work out a return to the program.  I expect we will hear he has entered the transfer portal soon.  This should open the door to a possible DT transferring in.
  • Michigan hosted 4 players from a high school (KIPP) in Columbus on Thursday.
  • Players need to decide on the NBA on or before Sunday 4/24 so we should hear about Moussa Diabate and Hunter soon.   The rumor mill is saying that NIL might keep Hunter at Michigan but MD might be headed to the NBA.  We will see,
  • There continues to be positive buzz around TT wing transfer Shannon to Michigan.  His AAU coach even tweeted a congratulations before deleting it.   As we know, it's never final until its final with admissions.
