Michigan picked up their first
2024 commitment from 4-star LB Mason Curtis from TN on Monday.
Mason has the most LB name ever and will make his impact felt in a few
years in Ann Arbor. Mason is 6'4 and a light 200 pounds right now, the
kid is just a high school junior so he has plenty of time to add weight to his tall
frame.
Michigan has done well in TN
lately, with current players Kody Jones, Myles Pollard, and Junior Colson all
from the Volunteer State. 24/7 has Mason ranked as the 14th ranked LB in
the country and #2 player in TN. Welcome Big Man!
Michigan which is lacking in 2023 recruits and current class ranks 44th on 24/7 team rankings, is hoping
for a huge July with commitments from a number of players.

Looking at the list of schools that offered him, its fairly unimpressive. I don't go by star ratings, I see what other programs are after a recruit. If college football royalty are in the hunt, i.e. Bama, OSU,etc, then the kid's probably a player. If its mostly teams that play in lessor conferences, or are bottom feeders in a power 5 then not so much. So either 1 or 2 things: he's not that good, or since signing day is 2 years away the big Dawgs haven't come around sniffing his front porch. It's a long time before he puts his commitment in writing. Verbals are next to worthless, but when a recruit is 2 years out, its worth even less.
Spot on Chowman...
Chow man, have you seen Curtis play for one second? I didn't think so. This makes your comments totally useless.
I agree 100% with Chowman. I like to think Michigan found a diamond in the rough, but that diamond going to be in the smooth begore 2024.
The teams with strong NIL programs are eating Michigan's lunch.
Wow, Chowman! Just because he doesn't have the right, i.e., YOUR, schools offering him, you throw him under the bus. Pretty sorry. I would go beyond Brady2017 and say your comment is worthless too.
High Sierra Howard is right, the NIL program(s) will begin to Trump(no pun intended) normal recruiting practices ... 50% of interviews will concern the NIL program "How much money can I make?" If Michigan is slow out the gate the cup boards will be bare, and they will fight to be 7 wins five loses at best in a few years.
