Michigan Monday: Gets Another Athlete Edge Rusher

Michigan is becoming DE U, if its not already.  Michigan has been finding high ceiling guys in high school and turning them into NFL Draft picks.  That trend continues with the commitment of 6'7 254 pound 4-star Edge Rusher Collins Acheampong from California but originally from Ghana.

Michigan took an early lead in his recruitment and then other programs tried to jump on board.   Collins had a nice offer sheet from the likes of LSU, USC, Florida, Miami, Arizona, CAL, UCLA, and many more.

Collins clearly saw the value of a Michigan degree and edge rusher development.   A clear win for the Wolverines in getting this California athlete.   Michigan is having a strong start to July with 4 commits already and now has the 45th ranked class to 24/7, with a large hole in 2023 QB recruiting.   Still a long time until December.

  • Caleb Houstan signed a contract with the Magic.  The details were not released.
  • Livers had a nice Summer League game on Saturday and put up 20.
