Michigan Thursday: Big Ten Weekend Preview Week 1

How low has Nebraska fallen?  It's Week 1 and they're already 0-1 in the Big Ten.   Mark Whipple has improved the offense and they'll be fine, if they can stop anyone and Scott Frost stops making in game decisions.

Illinois is 1-0, which leads us to this question: Can you really be 1-0 if nobody notices?

3 nights of Big Ten Games Starts in hours!

Big Ten Games Tonight

PSU -3.5 @ Purdue: Get ready for another Big Ten shake-up.   Clifford has been at Penn State for 10 years and starts another season for the Nittany Lions.  They were pretty good before the "Big Red Dog" went down last year with an injury.  Purdue loves the national spotlight and will win tonight (even though I have no idea what they have).   Purdue 28 PSU 21

New Mexico @ Minnesota (-36) Is that former ND coach still coaching at New Mexico?  Probably not.  Row the Boat 41 New Mexico 9

Friday Night:

WMU @ #15 MSU (-22): Why does Sparty open each season on Friday night? That is a strange tradition.  Don't sleep on Western as they will keep it close for a half.  MSU 31 WMU 17

Illinois @ IU (-1.5): How does Illinois have short week in week 1? Is IU back?  We will find out on Friday Night. All these early conference games are very strange and something I guess we need to get used to.  IU 31 Illinois 27

Saturday:

S. Dakota State @ Iowa: No line and a don't watch warning: Iowa 51 - SDS 13

Buffalo @ Maryland (-24): Maryland needs to be very careful here against a well-coached good team.  Maryland 28 Buffalo 20

Rutgers @ BC (-7): Sneaky good game here.  I like Rutgers to keep it close but like BC.  BC 21 Rutgers 17

North Dakota @ Nebraska: Does the Big Ten owe the Dakota's money?  No line and Nebraska big.

Illinois St @ #18 Wisconsin: Another no line.  Wisconsin huge

#5ND @ #2OSU (-17): I never understood why these teams never play in the regular season.  That changes this weekend.  There are a ton of story lines, like Marcus Freeman's ND new coach is a former Ohio State player.  I like the Buckeyes in this one: OSU 31 ND 14

I don't understand how the #5 team in the nation is a 17 point underdog? Does everyone feel OSU that strong or does Vegas feel ND overrated. Just odd.

Great BHB today! I was cracking up reading! Tim, I agree. Is there any way OSU and ND can both lose Saturday? Hate seeing either one win.

The absolute only time in the world I hope OSU wins.

Go Notre Dame. I don't worry about ND because they will eventually lose at least one game with Clemson, USC, and BYU on their schedule. UNC and at Syracuse could be tough games. So, I'm hoping ND wins and the Ohio State meltdown is epic. If it rains in Columbus tonight, ND's chances of victory go up dramatically. I'm hoping for rain!
