This weekend has better match-ups but nothing crazy that will get the attention of the national media. Let's go to the run down.
IU @ #2 OSU (-40): The IU AD office really wishes they were put in the Big Ten West. This one is going to be a first-round knockout. OSU 51 IU 6
Purdue @ 21 Illinois (-6.5): This is an interesting game for the matrix that is the Big Ten West. Michigan fans want Illinois to win, so they can have a better SOS if they were to beat the Illini next weekend. Purdue is weird but like them in this one. Purdue 21 Illinois 20
Rutgers @ MSU (-9.5): These are very similar teams; both like to play good defense and struggle on offense. MSU has better WR's and Rutgers QB situation is a mess. This is a must win for Sparty if they're going bowling. MSU 27 Rutgers 17
Maryland @ Penn State (-10): I thought Maryland could be special like 8-3 and give OSU a tough game in a week. They can play good football at times, but looked pretty bad against Wisconsin last week and have a loss to Purdue. Penn State is the better team and will win. PSU 31 Maryland 24
Wisconsin (-1.5) @ Iowa: Intresting game in what used to be 2 Big Ten West powers. Wisconsin doesn't play well on the road and Iowa's offense is terrible everywhere. Don't expect a shootout. Wisconsin 10 Iowa 7
Northwestern @ Minnesota (-17.5): No, thank you. Not the Wildcats year. Minnesota 31 NW 8
- Cade looks to be officially done for the season as there was a picture of his leg in a hospital room, looking like he was going into surgery on his social media.
- There was a MAC-action game last night between 2 former 5-minute Michigan assistants. Coach Mo (who was here for 2 months) vs. Coach Mac (who was here for year): CMU beat Buffalo 31-27.
- Nebraska's starting QB Casey Thompson is out against Michigan
