Last night Michigan center Olu Oluwatomi won two prestigious offensive line awards in winning the Outland and Rimington Trophies. Outland is for interior lineman and Rimington is for the best center. Olu is the first Wolverine to win the Outland I believe. Maybe the best Michigan transfer ever?
Mazi Smith pleaded guilty on Thursday to a misdemeanor firearm possession charge in Washtenaw County 14A-1 District Court. He will be sentenced on 12/29 and the penalty will not exceed 1 year in jail and/or a $1000 fine.
- Corum was robbed of the top RB in the country award. Moody also did not go back-to-back with the Groza.
- Corum and Olu where also named 1st team Walter Camp, Moody 2nd Team.
- Michigan picked up a solid commitment to the 2024 class in 4-star TE Hogan Hansen.
- Michigan Basketball was in need of a win and got one last night on the road at Minnesota.
- This is a bit of old news but Jaelin Llewllyn is out for the year with an ACL injury. As you know, Jaelin transferred to Michigan this off season.
- There was some twitter activity from someone that is working with Erick All outside the Michigan medical team (that was retweeted by Erick Sr.). To net it out, they alleged that Michigan's medical and training staff was not providing the proper advice on Erick's injury. Cade had a similar take on his injury.
- Jason Garrett interviews at Stanford and tweets he is staying at NBC. So he didn't get the job.
Just in, we have sad news as Meechie has passed away.

What's up with the Michigan medical team? McNamara, then All, and now rumblings that fences need to be mended with the Corum family. Big decision for Blake coming up soon, one more year or NFL.
I'll trust the best medical school in the country over some butt hurt 18 year olds that didn't want to fight for their positions.
Dug McDaniel was spectacular last night. Good to see a true point guard zipping around the court getting the Michigan offense energized! Jet and Jace played well, and so did a bunch of freshmen. Solid win last night!
Just saw a nice piece about Meechie on ESPN last night. A True Blue man indeed. The whole team was so nice to him. God speed.
Brady, not saying this is what happened, but it wouldn't be the 1st time a coaching staff has put pressure on the player to play thru an injury and on the medical staff to clear them to play.
Blue,
Yeah I kind of wondered about the Corum injury, especially after Cade spoke out. Now you double down with All? It's not a good look! Depending on the severity of his knee injury, if he's ready by the combine, if I was advising him: Leave young man, go get paid! RBs have a limited shelve life. Most are done by the time they turn 30 and they don't fade, the fall off a cliff!
I hope Michigan didn't impact Blake in a bad way - would be awesome if he returned.
I finally watched Cade's interview. First, those guys interviewing him were totally prodding Cade to be negative. It def wasn't journalism. But, Cade had some seemingly legit points about not being diagnosed properly - but, we obv don't know the full story. Mostly, however, he came across as really immature. I know he's young still, but yikes that wasn't a good reflection on him.
JJM appears to be very mature for his age and he's saying the right things. All and Cade unfortunately apparently not so much. We are obviously outsiders and don't know the facts but even when things don't go your way it's better to take the high road and not burn your bridges. There are others (including pros) that are watching you and they are trying to determine if you are worth the risk.
We know that Cade was the QB when Michigan won the osu game and the B1G title, but we also know he has many flaws and if he was better than JJ then he would have been named the starting QB. If the Michigan medical staff advised him that his injury was not surgery ready then it's proper to get a second opinion (which apparently he did). The same medically with All. However, I've learned with second opinion physicians, that they aren't quick to get into a legal pissing contest with each other.
If there's an issue with improper diagnosing of medical injuries by the Michigan medical staff then Michigan has got to address it asap before other players and their families start to lose confidence in them.
Not to mention addressing the NIL status. Michigan has finally climbed back into the elite stage of their program again, and if their administration don't do anything to properly compete with these other programs then it won't be long before Michigan falls back into the also-ran status that they've just climbed out of. IMHO!!!
