The commitment of JJ McCarthy put Michigan on the right track, just like his older uncle Paul did for the Beatles. Ok, not the same last name but you get the idea. This afternoon could help cement the program into a consistent top 10 team for years to come as another 5-star QB seems to be primed to commit to Jim Harbaugh and the University of Michigan.
Jadyn Davis is a 5-Star QB out of Charlotte who will make his decision live on Sportscenter at 1:30. His final 5 are Clemson, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State and Tennessee. Michigan right now holds 100% of the crystal ball predictions on 24/7.
Jadyn is just under 6'1 and 202 pounds and rated the #2 QB in the 2024 class by 24/7. Davis has been to Ann Arbor a number of times and seems to have really enjoyed meeting new QB coach Kirk Campbell who JJ loves and gets rave reviews from every QB that has visited Ann Arbor.
If things go correctly this afternoon, this should open a tidal wave of more top-rated recruits on both sides of the ball. For the first time in recent memory, Michigan could have a shot at the #1 rated 2024 class.
This is nice!
- Let's not forget the Spring Game is Saturday. The weather could be a little rainy and chilly. Thoughts - Is Walker a CB or WR, both? Who is the back-up QB? Is there a clear Power RB? Does Michigan have a clear DE/Edge Pass Rusher? Are the young WR's ready? I would prefer we didn't see JJ or Edwards.
- Michigan Basketball picked up a transfer in former 5-star guard Nimari Burnett. He has been at Texas Tech and last season at Alabama. He has been a bench player and has yet to meet his recruiting ranking. He is 6'4 and 190 pounds and this transfer is a bit of a head scratcher for me. The upside is this player has a ton of upside if developed correctly and could be a diamond in the rough.
