Michigan Monday: A Good Win on the Recruiting Trail

As Michigan fans, we expect all legacy recruits to come to Ann Arbor from high school.  Why wouldn't a legacy prospect play for the Maize and Blue and get a great education.  That doesn't always happen but Michigan gets its fair share of legacy recruits and on Sunday reeled in another one in 3/4-star WR Channing Goodwin.  Channing is 6'1 180 and had offers from the likes of GA
Tech, UC, NC State, UNC, UK, Pitt, WVU, Wake, South Carolina, UVA and others.

For those that have been a Michigan fan for a few years you will remember offensive lineman Jonathaon Goodwin who was in A2 from 98-01.  You might also recognize the school Channing plays at which is Providence Day School, out of Charlotte where a certain 5-star Michigan committed QB plays.  Seems like a perfect match, doesn't it?

Goodwin is the first WR in the class, but won't be the last with a 5-star QB already in the mix.  Michigan also wants Davis's other WR, Jordan Shipp.

  • Got a few texts that Michigan has offered MSU WR Transfer Keon Coleman.  They should, the kid can play, but I doubt he will end up in Ann Arbor.
  • Taylor Upshaw committed to Jebb and Arizona.  I do like having "friends of the firm" coaching at other places.
