Michigan Thursday: From the Hunter to the Hunted

Hunter Dickinson will pick his new destination today.  He will not be coming back and playing anymore basketball for the Wolverines.  He will leave this summer with his degree in hand and probably a couple million dollars if he accepts Kansas offer.  Hard to blame the guy if he takes the $2 million a year for 2 years at KU, his NBA options are limited at best and now is the time to make his money on the court before he decides if he wants to play overseas or not.

Hunter did post a nice farewell to Michigan fans on his social media on Wednesday.  Good luck to him at his next program.  Update: Hunter to KU.

  • ESPN mock draft has JJ at #20 next year, more like top 5!
  • Rumor mill is spinning that Payton Thorne former MSU QB will play for Hugh Freeze at Auburn next.   We will see.
  • 2024 4-star WR Channing Goodwin and legacy recruit, will announce his college decision on Sunday. 👀

I don't know about top 5. Michigan's offensive scheme doesn't do him any favors as they really let the air out of the ball. Michigan is a run first offense and doesn't allow QBs to put up the gaudy numbers that NFL scouts like to see.

Playing for Huge Freeze would be a good fit of Thorne! Freeze's offense is single read attack, so Payton won't get too confused by having to go thru progressions.

Sparty is quite the $hit $how. We shouldn't take pleasure in their demise. Ha...yeah we should. Can see Tucker sitting in his office, feet up on the desk and big cigar in his mouth just counting the $$ and laughing.
