Michigan Tuesday: Some Scheduling News

The Big Ten has sold TV rights to just about every network except ESPN.  CBS, FOX, NBC, and BTN will have Big Ten Football games starting this season.  I will lose my mind if Gary Danielson starts calling Michigan games.   With all these networks competing for the best games of the week, networks will try to secure these games as early as possible.   Fox of course has again grabbed the game which audience rivals a playoff game, Ohio State @ Michigan.

Reports are that NBC will be showing MSU @ OSU on November 11th in Primetime, which should make the Michigan @ PSU a noon or 3:30 kick.  I'm all for not playing Penn State at night during a white out.   I hope Warde pushes back on Michigan night games on the road.

  • Looks like we have seen the last of a legendary Ann Arbor breakfast restaurant Angelo's.  U of M is building something in that area.
  • Remember Harvard transfer Seth Towns? He was a Coach B transfer recruit but ended up at Ohio State.  He is in the transfer portal looking to play his 8th year of college basketball.  He has a long history of injuries.  I also wonder how many degrees he has at this point?

From a Michigan fan perspective, yeah you probably don't want the PSU game to be a white out night game, but from a college football fan perspective who the HELL wants to watch OSU take MSU to the woodchipper. Depending if/what other games will be on that evening, it might be a search for John Wick movie night. I like seeing State get drubbed as much as the next guy, but that game will be over by half time MAX!

I've always said, you want to be considered a big boy in college football, play the prime time night games against better opponents. A "white out" makes it that much more special! The "Michigan doesn't play well at night" is kind of a soft take. Last time I checked CFP games aren't Noon starts!
