Mason Graham is clearly one of Michigan's best defenders and maybe one of its best overall players. Last Saturday Mason dominated Minnesota's offensive line with one hand and another in a wrapped-up club. His injury was a bit of a mystery until yesterday, when Mason told us he broke his thumb in the Bowling Green game.
- Highest graded WR in single coverage in the country? Roman Wilson is the answer
- There are reports that Tom Brady's workout brand TB12 might be closing its doors.
- Mark Stoops on his radio show talking about getting blown out by Georgia: “Fans have that right (to complain). I give it to them. I just encourage them to donate more, because that’s what those dudes are doing. I can promise you Georgia, they bought some pretty good players. You’re allowed to these days. We could use some help”
- PSU head coach James Franklin said this, “There's a team in this conference that's buying out a ton of game contracts to go in another direction. You gotta do whatever you possibly can to give yourself a chance to be undefeated.” Is this a shot at Michigan? Some believe it's geared towards Indiana buying out its contract with Louisville, but that wouldn't' make much sense with the undefeated part. Penn State is also playing Don Brown and UMass this week. Keep talking James!

I've been a Michigan fan since the Rick Leach era.
No-one complimented or voted Michigan higher when Bo added Miami (FL), Notre Dame, Florida State, Texas A+M, Colorado, UCLA, Washington, Missouri, Stanford, Baylor, South Carolina, Arizona, and a #1 Maryland on Michigan's non-conference schedule. Many of the above teams in years were #1 or #2 going into the Michigan game; many multiple times. Many seasons we played teams like ND with Miami (FL) or Florida State or UCLA in the same pre-season.
When we lost 1 pre-season game and it was bowl season, 10-1 Michigan didn't have a chance to play for a national championship BECAUSE of that 1 pre-season loss.
They never credited us for an brutal non-conference shedule so I'm not listenging to them when they bitch when it's an easy schdule.
Why didn't Bo ever win a national championship? Largely because he wasn't afraid to schedule vicious schedules that made it so fun to be a Michigan fan...but the voters didn't care come voting time.
Rick Leach!!! Kicking it old school!
Tom- Excellent post. Spot on with everything you said. Unfortunately, most people, including some Michigan fans, are sheep and go along with everything they hear on sports talk radio. The majority of of these radio hosts are MSU grads and Michigan haters. The only thing they can knock about Michigan, and they look for everything, is our schedule. And to be honest, it's no different than any SEC school's schedule. F em. GO BLUE!
Very good post Tom. I remember all those games and the excitement leading up to them. We've got nothing to apologize for and I for one damn sure won't. I'm enjoying the ride. Thanks for the memories. Go Blue!
