Michigan Monday: Total Eclipse of The Program

Michigan is doing an overhaul of its biggest programs.  Football reached the summit and then lost a majority of its coaching staff.  Basketball lost a ton of games, lost its coaching staff and most of its players.   Both programs have new head coaches and basketball needs a complete rebuild.   Let's hope its not a "total eclipse of our hearts" 🌞🌘

Michigan is now rumored to be landing FAU Center Vlad Goldin.  This would be a nice addition.  Vlad has been getting better year over year.  He still plays a bit stiff and needs to improve from the line but would be a nice piece in the rebuild.  Michigan would still need another big as he gets into foul trouble and can't play the entire game.  Hopefully, its that Yale kid.  Today is a good day to talk big men that could block out the sun.

There are some rumors a few other FAU players are planning a visit to Ann Arbor this week.  Dusty continues to impress me with his work ethic as he is going non-stop to rebuild Michigan Basketball.  Pretty much every top level transfer has Michigan listed as schools they are considering.

  • Did not except Calipari to be leaving UK when I woke up this morning.
  • Congrats to South Carolina and women's basketball for a huge ratings in the Final 4.  Iowa had ZERO bench points on Sunday, which was the difference in the game.  USC had 37.
  • How is college basketball different then the NBA? Watch tonight as two huge centers that are not draftable fight it out.
  • DeVeon Smith scored in the UFL and dedicated it to his brother that he lost during the week.  Please keep a good thought for the Smith family.
  • Will the Big Ten go 0-2 in the Basketball National Championships this weekend?  Iowa and Purdue are/were both 6.5 point underdogs.
  • Sherrone has been hosting a ton of top recruits but has yet to land his first recruit as head coach/National Champions.  Taking time to rebuild relationship after a majority of your coaches leave will take some time.

BTW: Its Masters Week!

Not sure what you mean by "not draftable". I'm pretty sure Edey and Clingan will be drafted ... probably in the first round.

Every time I hear the song Total Eclipse Of The Heart, I think of the scene from the movie Old School and the obscene wedding singer. Lol

I think Edey is draftable. Just need a coach to figure out how to use him.

I don't see anyone playing better golf lately than Scottie Scheffler. If he's on, the Green Jacket is his.

Clingan has a shot as being a role player in the NBA. He's more athletic than Edey. Edey too slow, too plodding to play in the NBA. The NBA is a 3 and D league, he can't do either. Edey is just a taller Luka Garza, except Garza had a better outside shot. Hell I'd take Hunter Dickinson over Edey.
