Sherrone Moore has been the Michigan head coach full time since February. He has yet to land a new recruit as a National Champion. That changed on Monday when 2025 IL 4 star DE Nate Marshall committed to the Wolverines.
Nate is 6'4 and 265 pounds and rated as the #1 SDE by Rivals. He is in the top 100 for every service and the 24/7 composite has him as the #35 player in the country. He is very close to a 5 star and could see a bump in the summer or during his senior year. His offer list included all the regulars: Alabama, Miami, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, ND, OSU, Oregon, Texas, USC, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
Welcome Nate and a great way for this staff to get their first commit.
Is there anyone hotter than Dusty right now?
In a 72 hour span:
- Justin Pippen (4-star HS prospect)
- Rubin Jones (North Texas transfer)
- Danny Wolf (Yale transfer)
- Tre Donaldson (Auburn transfer)
- Roddy Gayle Jr. (Ohio State transfer) 6'4 guard
- Sam Walters (Alabama transfer) 6'10 shooter
Rod and Sam jumped on board on Monday. Dusty is a non-stop worker and a great hire so far. He has rebuilt this roster and still isn't done. Love the hustle! Rod averaged over 13 points a game and Sam was ranked as the 7th best shooter in the country last season.
- Transfer portal WR Kyle Ford is expected to head back to USC.
- Pippen signed his NLI and is official
- The only offer we know of in the portal for Michigan Football is Kent State DT CJ West, who is visiting Wisconsin and plans to visit Ann Arbor, LSU, Rutgers, and Florida State.

Did Rodney Galye commit?
It's impressive what Dusty has accomplished in such a short amount of time. Can a comparison be drawn between Sherrone and Dusty? One is an accomplished, seasoned Head Coach that knows exactly what he is doing. Sherrone is the opposite. Sherrone at this point reminds me more of Juwan Howard than Dusty May.
Dusty's got another one! Florida h.s. shooting guard Lorenzo Cason has just committed to Michigan!!
Brady, read you comment from yesterday about 1 of the May transfers. Every time I see that Dusty May is recruiting a guy or a guy has committed, I check to see is he a grad or undergrad. If he's an undergrad, I can't help but have the "oh here we go again" with the admission office basically screwing them over. Look I've said this before, when you're talking advanced classwork, then I lean more toward the admissions office, but for basic coursework, c'mon man. English is English, History is History, Psych is Psych. Most of these guys that are transferring in don't even have majors. they want somewhere to play ball!
If our new coach picks up a gem like that once a month, I am, a happy camper!!
Chow- Exactly. Dusty needs a sit down with Ono and say look, the way college basketball is today, these kids are basically employees of the University, much like a professor or an administrator. If they don't want a free education, that's on them. But in order to field a competitive team, you have to be willing to change with the times. So ya, I'm worried too until we get the final OK from admissions. Lol
Scotty- I'll take one 5* a month, too. But we need 11 guys on the field. Lol
