Michigan Monday: Doesn't Want To Look Towards The Weekend

I like this feeling and really haven't had it all year.  I wrote after close wins over bad teams that it felt like a loss.  Michigan played with heart on senior day and knocked out the Wildcats.  They put up 50 on a bad team and it was that 2023 feeling all over again.

The USC win felt good but Michigan played terrible in the 2nd half and Mullins pulled it out late.

Not to mention the momentum that the Bryce Underwood commitment has given the Wolverines.  Seeing him on the sideline and watching the fans reaction must of validated that decision for him.

This is the spot where we look ahead to Michigan's next opponent.   I'm going to pass on that today as I want this feeling to continue.   We all know what OSU has and where they are ranked, no need to continue to remind ourselves.  Its a holiday a week! 😀

  • Michigan Basketball is in a tournament in Fort Myers, Florida and play VT today.   Lessen the turnovers and get some boards! 6:00 tip.
  • Brandon Graham was playing his best game of the year on SNF last night then tears his pec muscle and is out of the year, which mean he might have played his last snap of NFL Football.  Brandon is a Michigan Man and has had an amazing career if this is it.
  • Harbaugh Bowl tonight on MNF
  • Nebraska has qualified for a Bowl Game after a win over Wisconsin,  this is the first time Nebraska will go bowling since 2016.
  • Former Wolverine commits QB Carter Smith and Jaylen Williams have committed to the Wisconsin Badgers.
  • So Franz is on fire lately.  Might have to take in a Magic game!
  • I hope we get news on Loveland today and a possible injury.  He did not come out of the locker room for the 2nd half by some reports.

Guys this has been a wonderful. Bob I want to thank you for all the information you provide here on this blog. I love reading all the comments the fans write chowmein even though you write a lot, but you do provide a lot of valuable information. Keep it low. Keep it sweet. Keep it short. I’ll be flying out of here for Dubai for next several months. I wanna wish everyone a happy new year and hopefully we have a better season next year.

Poor Carter Smith. He choose to go to a program with a more boring offense than Michigan. Lol

The traveling 'Hailgaters' gave Bryce a nice welcome. They bought him into their party tent, had a microphone, and let Bryce know how appreciative the fans were that he picked Michigan. Lots of nice statements and lots of applause.

Let Velenti knock us. I dont care what that fuckin troll says. Michigan has the best fans in the country!

My hope is that we just make it competitive. Don't let Cryin Ryan hang 50 on us without a fight.

Sherrone is gonna have to bust out every trick in the book against OSU. Underdogs that play vanilla will get annihilated. Run a reverse every quarter. Turn that into a reverse option pass. Hell, use the old Fumblerooski, I don't care, but don't try to go toe to toe w them. It will not end well.

He actually gave Michigan props for going out and getting the #1 recruit. Said there's no guarantee it works out, and he's right. If Michigan doesn't get a better OC it will be a handicap. He also ripped on his team for not being able to do that. He ripped on Alan Haller for being a mickey mouse AD running a mickey mouse athletic program. Says their facilities are ass and have no NIL program. He doesn't blame any MSU player for leaving for a better NIL deal as MSU and Haller aren't serious!

Agreed. I believe the defense if good enough to hold the line if the UM offense generates some drives. If they don't the D will disappear quickly. If that snowball gets rolling it could get ugly. Block out the crowd and concentrate on every play. Running into the line spells disaster...

Oh yes, he will light up MSU, and rightly so. I enjoy that. Lol But he needs to quit with saying Michigan fans are "sickos in a cult" stuff. That's petty.

Thats a good one. Lol Mahomes just sits there, "Ya, I'm not saying that." Lol

With Moore stating today when asked if Poggi will be back "I was very close with Biff. He worked with me directly when he was here. And excited. We'll work those things out. But definitely a possibility to have him back. Looking forward to it.

It sounds to me he'll be back, serving as either an advisor for Moore as he did with Harbaugh or working with the offensive linemen as he did during Moore's first year coaching the offensive line, whatever his role will be I have little doubt it will be positive. Also of note was his instrumental role in in building the Wolverines championship culture ahead of the 2021 season.

My thoughts are hiring Biff is going backwards. Sherrone needs to go out and find some top of the line coordinators or he will fail. Not some old re-tread.

Fully agree on bringing in a top notch offensive coordinator, Poggi by no means would be hired in that role. What role he brings to the team if hired is basically what he brought back in 21 &22, as an OL coach & advisor, such that while here he earned both the players and coaches ardent respect, so much so that some refer to him as the glue that held the team together after the 2020 season.
