Michigan Monday and Tuesday: A Senior Night to Forget

Sorry about the zero post day, life got in the way.

There were all type of story lines waiting to be written after Michigan Basketball's final home game on Sunday afternoon:  Vlad seeing his family for the first time in 5 years, Dusty's first year, and Juwan Howard back in Crisler to support his son's final game.  Illinois didn't seem to like any of those headlines and blew out the Wolverines by 20 points.

On the night of the Oscars, maybe the lights were a bit too bright for the Wolverines, maybe they played too tight, or Illinois could just have the Wolverines number, either way its best to forget it and move on to finishing the season, the Big Ten Tourney and the NCAA.

  • Michigan Football did get a 2026 commit over the weekend when Bear McWhorter an OL from GA committed to the Wolverines.  Bear is 6'4 293 pounds and had a ton of offers from top programs, in fact he was 100% prediction to Bama before he went Blue.   Bear is a 4 star composite player and ranked #387 in the class.   Welcome Bear!

  • The Don runs a 4.4 in the 40.   I wish I had thought of using him more as a WR this year.

  • This section is just for former Michigan QB News:
    • Jack Tuttle gets a job on Sherrone's staff
    • Shea Patterson signs with Winnipeg Blue Bombers
    • Scot Loeffler leaves BGSU head coach role to be the Super Bowl Champs QB Coach

So many basketball thoughts: has this team hit the wall? The just don't look like the same team the last 4 or 5 games. The offense is struggling, its Vlad Golden or its not! Think we've all resigned that this team is going to turn over the ball A LOT and give up a ton of offensive rebounds. The latter is a bit surprising with 2 7 footers on the floor. Can we just bench Roddy Gayle Jr already. He's been horrendous. Not sure why OSU fans were booing him, they should of been cheering he was no longer on their team!
