Michigan's Offense Line has already taken hits by the NFL's #1 draft pick and a by a guy that wanted to be a Buckeye. It didn't need this:
The position move comes on the heels of the realization guard Cory Zirbel likely will miss the season with a knee injury.
"It's pretty significant," Rodriguez said. "We're not even hopeful he'll be able to return this year."
The position switch RR speaks about is Defensive Lineman John Ferrara (sophomore) has moved to the Offensive Line for depth in an already short pool. Look for a number of Freshman to not redshirt and play this year. Hey, Rocko Khoury looks like your going to get some snaps. (btw: the Soprano's had nothing to do with Cory's injury - at least that's what Cory is saying :-))
The rest of the injury news is as follows:
- Mark Huyge has been out with a high ankle sprain and will be back this season, but Rodriguez said it is a week-by-week determination.
- Carlos "Santana" Brown (hip) but practiced
- Terrance Robinson (knee) will miss a few weeks
- Donovan Warren was held out of practice for "precautionary" reasons (don't really like the sounds of that either)
On a side note: The USC Trojans have jock itch............ (This has really been a long season if that is the best story the media can find at this point).
It sounds like it's time to play some football!
