Hart Impressive in Hall of Fame Game

It was sort of weird turning on my TV last night and seeing football back on. Yes, it was a preseason game and yes it was the Hall of Fame game. But it was still football and it was still the debut of Mike Hart in a different uniform.

Yes our Mike Hart was in a Indianapolis Colts #32 uniform and he is still running like Michigan State was lined up against him. Mike, got in early in the second half and made some very impressive runs. (yes, we know it was against the 2nd or 3rd team defense) He even lost his helmet on a run and still managed to get the first down. Mike was the 4th running back that played on Sunday night. Mike even ended the game a yard short of a touchdown on a little screen pass. He really only played two series the entire game.

“We’ve seen that from Mike for four years of college and we’ve seen it every day in practice,” Dungy said. “He just continues to run hard and block well and catch the ball – do the things you need to get done.”

Hart currently is among several running backs on the Colts’ roster competing for time behind third-year veteran and 2007 Pro Bowl selection Joseph Addai: eight-year veteran Dominic Rhodes, second-year veteran Kenton Keith, second-yearveteran Clifton Dawson and rookie Chad Simpson.
