Big House News and Notes

  • Feagin to Redshirt. Looks like the Wolves will have three QB's with 4 years eligibility starting next year. Look for maybe "The Beaver" to red shirt in 09.
  • Cox is out of here. Mgoblog is reporting that Michael Cox is looking to transfer. I saw him on the field on Saturday and he is a big running back and at least 3-4 inches taller then the other back. Too bad, we can't find a spot for him. If he stays at U of M he will redshirt this year.
  • Obi Ezeh won Big Ten Defensive Player of the week award after his 15 tackle performance with one pick.
  • Carlos Brown (shoulder) should be available against Miami, while receiver Greg Mathews (ankle), receiver Junior Hemingway (shoulder), and defensive end Ryan Van Bergen (ankle) are day to day.
  • Jonas Mouton has been promoted to starter at weakside linebacker. Marell Evans started on that side against Utah, but is now listed as a strongside backer along with Austin Panter
  • Threet will get more snaps with the 1st team this week in practice
  • Grady is still practicing with the team and may see some time against Miami
