Oh Little Beanie............

Late last night, I got in the Big House Blog Time Machine turned the dial to 9/12/2008 and took a short trip to C-Bus to see how the buckeyes are doing the night before the big USC game.

As I was hovering over the city, I heard a song from long ago. I shut down the engines, so I could hear what they were saying. It seemed that many of the Buckeye fans were sleeping, dreaming, and singing at the same time. The song got louder and louder as each Buckeye started to dream. I had to write it down so I would remember it. I got back in the the BHB Time Machine and headed back to the early morning of 9/4. This is what I heard:

Please use caution as you read/sing this, you can and most likely will find this disturbing as a Michigan fan:

Oh little Beanie, we've got so much love, little Beanie
Can you take the toe pain and run over the great U...S....C...

Oh little Beanie, The vest's got so much love, little Beanie
So he will play you when he can, you make him a coaching M..V...P.......
...
And I want you to be my tailback, I want you to be my runner
Oh that Clarrett treated us so cruel
And oh little Beanie, put that big toe back in the whirlpool

Little Beanie, you don't have much time, little Beanie
Though you've grown beyond your years, we still fear the Trojans D
Oh little Beanie, you got so much time, little Beanie
But you're running so fast, searching for some Heisman's past

And I want you to be my tailback, I want you to be my runner
That Pete Carroll can be so cruel
But oh Beanie, please put that Big toe back in the whirlpool

And I want you to be my tailback, I want you to be my runner
Oh there were others, and I've known quite a few
But oh oh Beanie, the buckeyes are counting on you

Stepped into my life by the beating the Wolverines
Making the life that I had seem suddenly shiny and new
But Oh Beanie, please play against USC and I will shave my goatee.

Disturbing I know. Please be careful to be around any Buckeyes that weekend.
I wondered why Elton John sales have sky rocked it Columbus lately.
