AD Support, Tickets, Body Slams, and a New Recruit Offered

  • So Michigan's AD Bill Martin spoke yesterday about Rich Rod being the right man for the Michigan job. That the defeat by Toledo was surprising but he is the right man at the right time. The problem is we won't know if that is really true until 2-3 years down the line. As fans, I agree we need to be patient and hope for the best in a Sabin/Alabama turn around in year two.
  • So there are still a 1000 tickets available for the Michigan State - OSU game this weekend. Are you freaking kidding me? How can that be. Both teams are ranked and playing pretty good Big 10 Football. Come on Sparty! Go out and support your team.
  • Michigan hockey defenseman Steve Kampfer was assaulted on Sunday (possibly) by a U-M football player Mike Milano near East Quad. Milano, 22, is a 5-foot-7, 196-pound running back and a former U-M wrestler. The "word" is that Milano body slammed Kampfer over a girl and that Kampfer has some serious injuries. So a walk on running back on our 2-4 football team body slammed a defenseman on our #2 ranked Hockey team? WTF?
  • Speaking of WTF? What is the problem with Jim Leavitt? He seems to love to blast RR when talking about everything. I know they used to be in the same conference and RR stole some of his top assistants a couple years ago, but Jim really seems to be in love with Rich and can't stop thinking or talking about him. His latest blast: "Who would have thought Toledo would go in and beat Michigan, with Rich Rodriguez and all his infamous wisdom, whatever it is there," Leavitt said. Brian from Mgoblog suggest Rich could be taking some of the local talet away from USF and that could be making Jim a little hot under the collar.
  • Michigan offers a 2 star CB from Glenville HS in Cleveland. Mike Edwards is 5"10 170 lbs and is planning a trip to A2 soon. (Not a great offer IMO)
