Michigan's basketball team record last year was 10-22. Michigan's record as of 12/29/2008: 10-2 after tonight's 20 point win over North Carolina Central. Michigan opens the Big Ten season on Wednesday against Wisconsin. If they go .500 in Big Ten play they should make the tournament with high profile wins over Duke and UCLA.
I know it's very early to say this, but I believe the John Beilein hire was a "great" hire by Bill Martin and he could go down as the best coach ever to wear a "maize and blue" tie on the Michigan bench.
BTW: For those of you that caught the Big Ten Network telecast tonight, Tim McCormick is the biggest "homer" on television and I love it! It's nice to see a Michigan "homer" in a broadcast. I think he dropped about 20 former Wolverine basketball players names. He even got a Ricky Green shout out in there.

Yes! Michigan B-ball is back...and...it's fun watching this team come together. One weak link to work on is to get rebounds and second chances under the baskets.
True, they are a terrible rebounding team and they live and die with the 3 ball.
