- Louisville defensive coordinator Ron English is believed to be Sarkisian's top choice to be the Washington Huskies defensive coordinator. English was Michigan's defensive coordinator from 2006-07 and was a candidate to join USC's staff last year.
- It seems Lou Holtz son and current head coach of East Carolina Skip Holtz is the front-runner for the Syracuse job. Skip coached at UConn before East Carolina. I'm not sure the Syracuse job is better then East Carolina?
- MAC coaches Turner Gill and Brady Hoke both interviewed for the head coaching position at Auburn, but neither are considered a top candidate. Look for Turner Gill to be the next Syracuse coach if Skip, skips out on them.
- Sounds like Ohio State wants another dual threat QB and are actively recruiting Kevin Newsome (former Michigan commit) and Tajh Boyd (a former WVU and Tennessee commit). Look for Tajh to commit to Ohio State but then end up at like Nebraska? :-)
- Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and South Carolina defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson are rumored to be the top two candidates for the Mississippi State's head coaching vacancy. Update: ESPN is reporting that Mississippi State will hire Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen.

"I love Michigan. I love VT. I love PSU. ActuallY iwant to sit behind TP for three years and maybe play for one after he is gone."

(yeah I am still bitter. I basically talked myself into believing he would have been our version of Tebow)
English is a great west coast recruiter, but man Rutgers put up 63!! on his Louisville D in their last game. Ouch.
