Michigan 2010 Recruiting News and Notes

  • Michigan has offered running back Marcus Lattimore. Marcus has 19 offers at the moment and doesn't expect to announce until signing day.

  • 5 Star Safety from Florida Marvin Robinson, at one time believed to be a Michigan lean told ESPN that he is wide open and considering schools like Michigan, Ohio State, South Florida, and North Carolina. He is also not expected to "announce" until he has completed his final year of high school football.

  • Michigan has offered GA dual threat QB Blake Simms. Blake has impressive numbers: The 6-foot, 180-pound Sims threw for 2,785 yards, rushed for more than 1,000 yards and accounted for 42 touchdowns. Sims boasts 4.5 speed in the 40-yard dash and has the dual-threat capabilities Rodriguez prefers.

  • Michigan maybe the leader for SC Dual Threat QB Cornelius Jones. CJ is 6"3 185 lbs.

  • Remember DE Alain Kashama? Well, he signed with the CFL's Calgary Stampeders on Monday.

  • Ever wonder who might start at QB for your favorite university? There really isn't a ton of mystery around Michigan's starter, but the answer is: go down to your "official outfitter" and see what number jersey they will be selling. Like I said, Michigan's isn't a mystery, so why not sell a few Tate jersey's? Talk about pressure on a kid that hasn't even taken his first live snap in Michigan Stadium yet. Good Luck Tate!
