Sheridan just to miss the Spring Dance

Rich Rod in his pre-practice press conference said this about injured QB Nick Sheridan:

"It's not a displaced fracture, so you don't have to have surgery," coach Rich Rodriguez said Thursday. "It takes him out of the practices for spring ball, but for summer workouts he'll be fine." "It didn't look like a violent thing, but it got twisted under him a bit, and it happened," Rodriguez said. "These last few practices, it'll give some other guys more reps, and Nick will stay in tune mentally. And we'll bring the competition back to full go in August."

Nick will miss 6-8 weeks. Forcier and Cone will split the QB duties with Fegain playing some slot and getting some QB snaps as well.

  • More from the Mash Unit: Offensive Lineman Ricky Barnum will have surgery on his wrist and is recovering from a sprained ankle.

  • 5 Star RB Marcus Lattimore has Michigan in his top 10. Many believe that Marcus will visit Ann Arbor at some point in his recruitment.

  • 4 Star QB from New Orleans Munchie Legaux has stated that Michigan is his current leader. Munchie (would be great "name" to add to the 2010 class) comes in at 6"4 185 lbs. and threw for 43 touchdowns last year. Yes, 43.

  • Michigan will have it's first full scrimmage this Saturday. Good Luck Tate and stay healthy!
