Michigan Practice Notes:
-The starting defense is seriously lacking depth and the defensive line is no exception. John Ferrara might move back to the defensive line after moving to the offensive line last year.
-RR feels the reason the offense is getting big plays in practice is due to their execution and not a reflection on the defense.
-Odoms sat out on Thursday due to a headache.
-Kelvin Grady continues to impress at the slot wr position after his move from the basketball team. Which means bad news for T-Rob who continues to have problems catching the ball.
-RR has been leaving the entire defense so far this fall to Greg Robinson.
Recruiting News:
-Scouts is reporting that Florida CB Tony Grimes is now a package deal with high school DE team mate Clarence Murphy. This is most likely bad news for the Wolverines who only have 4 spots remaining in the 2010 class.

I would say that the offense is ahead of the defense because they've had a year in RR's system while the defense is in their first year under Robinson. I still believe that the defense will be a lot better than they were last year.
