Michigan Monday: Interviews, Extentsions, and More

  • ESPN is reporting that Calvin Magee will interview for the open South Florida job. Michigan has already lost one assistant coach this off season, Jay Hopson to Memphis. Calvin coached at South Florida before he joined Rich Rod at West Virgina and Michigan. Calvin was also named American Football Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year in 2007. Hopson's loss has already had an effect on recruiting. Would Magee's as well?

  • Michigan Basketball Coach John Beilein got a contract extension through 2016. Beilein's total compensation under the new contract will reportedly be $1.7 million in 2010-11, $1.8 million in 2012-13 and $1.9 million by the 2013-14 season.

  • Former Wolverine Justin Feagin pleaded Gulity to one count of conspiracy to deliver less than 50 grams of cocaine in a recent court hearing. Let's hope he can turn his life around after this very poor decision.
