Michigan Thursday: Likes Practice Highlights

If you like watching practice highlights to see how the Wolverines are doing is short couple second segments then this post is for you.    So is Saturday if you plan on making it out to the Big House or watching it live on BTN.   Saturday won't be a real game, more of a controlled practice/scrimmage due to depth issues.   Wouldn't it be great if Michigan brought in a D1A team to play during the Spring Game?

You could have rules on QB contact and blitzing but other then that play straight up.  That would sell a few tickets and get people a bit more excited then seeing our punters hit 10 punts to grad assistants.   It would also raise a ton of more money for Mott Hospital and the University.   This concept is against NCAA rules at this point.   I would also like to see the same thing in late August so you could be ready for the season.   It would be great to see some players we never see get some playing time.

  • Spike Albrecht signed his LOI and is now officially a Wolverine.   They are done recruiting for the 2012 class.

  • Urban Meyer continues to defend his time at Florida in this ESPN article.  Makes you wonder if OSU picked the right guy to take them out of the NCAA probation period.  For what it's worth, many Florida fans don't believe his "health issues" and thought his team would not be the power it's been and wanted to get out before the ship hit an island and flipped over.

  • Glen Robinson III is now a 5 star recruit on ESPN and Rivals and rated higher then McGary.  Scouts is the only service that has McGary rated higher at this point.
