One of the top rated Safeties in this class Su'a Cravens is expected to be on campus next week. He is the top rated safety in the country by Rivals and the #5 player overall. Which means he is a 5 star prospect and is down to 3 schools: Michigan, Nebraska and USC. He lives in California and as you might expect seems to be a USC lean.
I hope he is prepared to hear a few 100 times: "I coached Ed Reed in the NFL". :)
One of the few things that was a hold over from the RR hat trick is the Big House BBQ. It's a really good event that allows current commits, 2013 recruits and 2014 prospects to come to campus and get to know the coaches in a relaxed setting. Recruits families will be there as well, so they can participate. Due to NCAA rules, Michigan has to charge a few bucks for each recruit and family member to attend. This years BBQ is scheduled for July 28th.
- Michigan lost to Bama last night in Softball.
- Purdue has 8 QB's on the roster, to protect against the ACL bug that always seems to hit West Lafayette.
- The Michigan Basketball Team didn't have any verbal commits in ESPN's top 100 for the 2013. That was before they released their new rankings. Now they have 3: Derrick Walton is at #39, Zak Irvin is at #61 and Mark Donnal is at 65. That is a big jump for all 3 players.
