Michigan Thursday: BH Bullets

• Greg Mattison spoke to the media yesterday.  Nothing ground breaking, he likes that the players are in year 2 and understand the defense better.  Still wants to see them during contact drills later this week.   Mentioned good things about Jake Ryan, Cam Gordon and Thomas Gordon.

• Big Al said that Thomas Rawls will be the next guy in line if Fitz is still suspended in Dallas. "We're just going to the next guy -- we're not really changing anything," Borges said during a news conference at Schembechler Hall. "Thomas Rawls is going to be that next guy. Vince is going to do what he's done, and on we go. "The key to these situations from a game-plan perspective is try to make it as seamless as you can. Just go."


• Michigan's 2013 Basketball Recruits are shooting up the rankings.  Here are the latest risers from ESPN:  Zak Irvin went from #60 to #21 and Derrick Walton went from #40 to #32.   Mark Donnal dropped from #64 to #97 which still gives 3 Michigan recruits in the top 100.

• A-Rod Visited Ann Arbor and U of M yesterday.  He visited the Big House, The Wilpon Baseball facility and even saw Zack Novak working out.  That new baseball coach really can recruit!




• Here is another article about Treadwell taking his time to make a decision.  He is setting up a bunch of game visits during the season, so don't expect any commitment news anytime soon.

• Could Michigan have it's first 2014 recruit soon?  This article states that it's going to be Ohio LB Michael Ferns.  I have heard he is very interested in Michigan and has a final 3 of Michigan, ND and Penn State.  Michael visited for the BBQ.
