Easy for a Michigan fan to say, right? The NCAA came down on Michigan for a few minutes of stretching and non-coaches coaching. The Wolverines lost hours of practice and got a couple years of probation . Michigan moved on.
Easy to say for a team that got a slap on the wrist right? Penn State got the most extreme penalty in NCAA history and it's hard for current and former players and the Penn State Trustees to move on. In the last week, The Paterno Family, Some Trustees, and now former players are trying to appeal the NCAA decision. All three have gotten the same answer: NCAA spokesman Bob Williams on Monday evening reiterated his response to a similar appeal plan that Joe Paterno's family announced Friday. "The Penn State sanctions are not subject to appeal," Williams said.
Time to move on. Both USC and Ohio State got hit pretty hard by the NCAA in the last few years. USC is getting through it and is one of the best teams in the country this year. OSU won't go to a bowl game this year but they have a new coach and is recruiting well. They have moved on.
Current Penn State recruits are moving on. They have lost two players from the 2013 class in the last 24 hours. Today 4 star OL Dorian Johnson de-committed and yesterday WR Zach Bradshaw moved his commitment to Virgina. That is 9 current players and 5 recruits who have left Happy Valley. It would help Penn State's cause if they didn't show up on ESPN's bottom line or making daily headlines anymore. Time to move on.
- Michigan is expecting three early enrollees for the 2013 class or guys enrolling at Michigan in January. Those 3 guys are LTT, Kyle Bosch and Taco. For those that don't know, if you have guys enrolling in January you can use a 2012 scholarship (if any are available) or a 2013 class scholarship. Shane is not able to enroll early due to his private school requiring more credits then many public schools.
