Big Ten Preview Week #2

The theme this week "is on the road again".  It seems rare during the non-conference season for many Big Ten teams to play on the road.  Most teams schedule opponents looking for a nice payout and they will travel to Big Ten schools to get it.  This week is a different story where we find 7 games outside of Big Ten Country.   MSU is playing at a MAC school.   You don't see that very often.

Big Ten Game of the Week:

Nebraska at UCLA:  (NEB -5) Both teams had nice wins to start the 2012 season last week but both are trying to recapture past glory.  UCLA is now coached by former NFL headman Jim Mora Jr. and Nebraska's top RB Burkhead is questionable for this game.  Big Ten teams don't seem to do well when they enter the Pacific Time Zone but I think they are in better shape then a rebuilding UCLA. Nebraska 28 UCLA 24

The Rest of the Games:

MSU at CMU: (MSU -21)  Fire Up Chips!  Better stop the run.   MSU 31 CMU 7

Indiana at Mass:  (IU -14)  Indiana is favored on the road?  When was the last time that happened?  IU 21 MASS 20

PSU at Virgina:  (Vir -10)  Another long day for the Nittany Lions.  Virgina 24 PSU 14

Iowa State at Iowa: (Iowa -4.5) This game is for some type of corn trophy.  Iowa 17 ISU 14

Wisconsin at Oregon State:  (Wisc -7) Wisky struggled last week and here is that time zone thing again.  OSU is not what it used to be.   Wisconsin 10 OSU 7

Vanderbilt at Northwestern:(Vandy -3.5)  The Academic Bowl.  Vandy Pi Northwestern 3.14159

Illinois at ASU:  (ASU -3.5)  Illinois played better last week then I expected.  But we have that Time Zone thing again and this time, it will be too much for them.   ASU 23 Illinois 17

Purdue at ND: (ND -14)  Not sure Danny Hope has the squad to win in South Bend yet.  ND 31 Purdue 17

Michigan and Air Force will be previewed on Friday morning.
