Wolverine Wednesday: Is Watching Tim's Stock Rise

Tim Hardaway had a tough decision after his junior year at Michigan.  Turn pro or stay in school for his senior year?  It was tough because Tim was ranked as a  mid-second round draft pick by some NBA Draft insiders.    That's the big conflict right there:  get drafted low or stay in school another year and try again as a senior (most insiders feel drafting a 4th year senior is not a good thing, since all the top players leave early).

Tim decided to leave Michigan and try his hand at the NBA Draft.   The NBA Combine was last week in Chicago and he seems to be moving up a few boards.  One of his biggest critics was Chad Ford from ESPN who now ranks Tim as the #27 player in the draft.    There are 30 teams in the NBA and would project him now as a late round one pick.    Could he go home and play in Miami?

With the lottery now set, ESPN has Orlando taking Burke #2.  Others think he could be a good fit at #6 to New Orleans or #7 Seattle Sacramento.

  • Rivals is not very high on the Wolverines current class none of these commits got in their top 250:  Marshall, Bunting, Speight, Ways and JBB.

  • Michigan is very picky about offering QB's as they took their sweet time offering 2014 prospects.  So that is why the offer to 2015 QB 2015 quarterback Josh Rosen (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) was somewhat surprising.

  • Charles Woodson signs with the Raiders.  Yikes!
