There was a pretty large Rivals combine in Chicago called the 5 Star Challenge over the weekend and there was some positive news coming out of it for the Wolverines. One reason for the positive news is Michigan's' #1 recruiter Michael Ferns was in attendance and put his sites on the likes of JuJu Smith, Adoree Jackson, Leonard Fournette, Da'Shawn Hand and Malik McDowell.
- McDowell said his top 4 are Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State. He is planning visits to Florida, FSU and USC. He said if he had to pick a leader it would be local school U of M.
- There was some buzz from the Rivals event that Leonard Fournette is planning a visit to Ann Arbor. If your not familiar with that name, Fournette is the #1 RB in the nation and #3 overall player to Rivals to ESPN he is the #1 player in the nation. Yes, please take a visit.
- It's now clear that Michigan is looking for one more LB in the 2014 class. Ferns was also working LB Dwight Williams, who now wants to take a visit to Ann Arbor. DW is teammates with Adoree Jackson and a 4 star prospect. He is rated the #4 outside LB in the country.
