Wolverine Wednesday: Catches Up With News Around the B1G Ten

  • I believe ESPN's Big Ten Coaches "Carwash" is scheduled for today and Thursday.

  • Minnesota WR Devin Crawford-Tufts who was expected to compete for a starting role and got a lot of playing experience last year has quit football to focus on track.  Not a good sign for Golden Gopher Football.

  • Highly ranked 2015 DT from Ohio Hjalte Froholdt lost his Visa and will have to go back to Denmark for his junior year of high school.  He will continue to play football in Denmark and will keep in contact with the coaches that are recruiting him (including Michigan).  His plan is to come back to the US for his senior year and then to college.   Student Visa's expire for kids that are attending primary school after one year but that rule doesn't apply to college/higher education.  How highly rated is Hjalte?  ESPN has him ranked as the #14 player in the 2015 class.   He is already 6'4 and 285 pounds.

  • Both Michigan and MSU's AD's agreed to no night games for the rivalry.  How about they carve out a two year contract with Ford Field and help Detroit's Economy a little bit?  Just a thought.

  • OSU RB Carlos Hyde wasn't charged with a crime but will be suspended 3 games.

  • MSU OT Skyler Burkland is retiring from football after too many injuries.  Got luck to him in his next chapter of life.
