Wolverine Wednesday: A Few Recruitings News and Notes

  • Glenville kids are no longer an OSU lock once Brady Hoke took over the Michigan program.  The Wolverines still have a shot at five-star ATH Marshon Lattimore and four-star S Erick Smith.   As we know, Glenville is Ted Gin, Sr. program and had this quote for the Detroit News:  “Brady is my guy,” said Ginn with a smile. “(Greg) Mattison’s my guy from way back. Brady has taken care of a lot of my kids. I had about seven kids at Ball State. I remember Brady when I had Pierre Woods (at Michigan). So he was Pierre’s coach and we have always had a good relationship. When he got the job back here it opened up a lot of doors for my kids, as you can see.”  I'm not holding my breath on either player for the 2014 class.

  • Michigan might have lost their footing in Adoree' Jackson's recruiting.   Adoree' is considering the Olympics in 2016 for track and Michigan does not have a strong track team.  He is also pretty cold on attending the BBQ, which is not a good sign.   Looking more and more like a Florida commit.

  • It seems the news of Artaivs Scott's choice has leaked out of the Opening:  His choice rhymes with Tedsome Fires.   Let's hope George Campbell isn't as fond of Tedsome.

  • I wonder how important it is for Michigan to take a RB in this class?  It seems CO RB Kalen Ballage and Leonard Fournette have the best shot at jumping on board.  Fournette is the #1 RB in the country but he is expected in for the BBQ.

  • A name I really haven't heard of lately is 4 star OK S Steven Parker but Steven wants to take a visit to Ann Arbor.  He does have a Michigan offer.
