Michigan Thursday: Top B-Ball Recruit Already Has a Street Named After Him in Ann Arbor

For those of you that don't follow Michigan Basketball recruiting closely, one of Michigan's top targets for the 2014 class is 6'4 small forward from Indy, Trevon Bluiett.   Trevon is ranked as the #46 player (per Rivals) in the country and has 18 offers which includes the likes of Louisville, Indiana, UCLA, Georgetown, ND and others.   Trevon yesterday listed his top 7 (in no order)  Arizona, Butler, Indiana, Michigan, Purdue, UCLA and Xavier.

As I joked in the headline, Ann Arbor near Plymouth road already has a road named Bluett.  Which famously is the corner of Nixon & Bluett.

In somewhat sad news, Kevon Looney the 11th ranked player (via Rivals) is no longer considering the Wolverines and is expected to be a Duke lean.   MSU and Wisconsin are still being considered.

  • No more seat cushions at the Big House, unless you "rent" one from the athletic department.  I'm so glad they removed these, being a little bit more comfortable is clearly wrong.    Mostly when it's a big game and you have to sit sideways because everyone is packed in like sardines.

Welcome to August and the countdown for the season begins.  I will start grading each position group (QB, RB, WR, OL, DL, LB and DB's) once a week during the month.

The freshmen report on Saturday and camp begins on Monday.  Can't wait to start to hear about practice buzz and hope everyone stays healthy during camp.
