As I mentioned in the QB preview below, Denard Robinson got his number changed to 16 by the Jaguars. Denard gets to see his first pre-season action this Friday against the Dolphins.

- Mgoblog does it's yearly weight check - players of note: AJ Williams down to 265 from 282 last year, Chris Fox (true freshman) is 338 due to an knee injury last year, Q. Washington is 301 his freshman year he was 325, Mario Ojemudia is up to 250 from 223 and Frank Clark showed up as a freshman at 228 in 2011 and is now 277.
- I guess the secret is out - Travis Haney from ESPN ranks Devin Gardner as the #1 prospect to have a breakout year in college football. DG was #1 on a list of 50 players.
- Malik McDowell got his transfer approved and will be playing with Lawrence Marshall at Southfield HS this year.
