Michigan Tuesday: Baseball, Millen and Some Visit Updates

I know we don't really follow Michigan Softball on this blog but I'm sure you already know how good they are.  They are the #3 seed in the Women's World Series Tournament and just sweep Georgia last week and now heading to Oklahoma City.   What we haven't seen in a long time is a good run by the Baseball team.   That happened over the weekend as the Wolverines sweep the Big Ten Tournament in Minneapolis and is now heading to the NCAA World Series Tournament.  They are in the Louisville Regional where they will join Louisville, Bradley and Morehead State in a double elimination round.  Good luck to both Wolverines Teams!

  • Blake Countess just announced he is going to play his graduate year at Auburn.  Good Luck to Blake in the SEC!

  • QB's Jake Rudock and Zach Gentry are now both enrolled at Michigan.

  • I would like to go on record as saying, "I'm not a Matt Millen fan".   He was terrible as the Lions President and even worse for ESPN.  When he left the Lions, ESPN hired him for an NFL studio host on MNF.  That didn't work and he got demoted to college football color guy and his games kept getting worse and worse.  Which is a clear sign the majority of the audience didn't care for him either.   He is a huge Penn State homer and it's clear when he does any Nittnay Lions games.   Now reports are coming out that he has been let go by ESPN and will be the Big Ten Network's lead analyst replacing Glenn Mason.   No! Let's hope Jimmy turns this ship around and ESPN and ABC wans to pick up all of our games.

  • 2016 4 Star New Jersey OL Will Fries is visiting Ann Arbor today.   I now weirdly hungry for lunch.
