Reports are that Randy Edsall is probably going to get fired after the OSU game this weekend. Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde is reporting that they do plan to fire coach Edsall but it might not be as soon as after this weeks game.
In the NFL, firing a coach before a bye week is a common activity, just like the Miami Dolphins did this week. Maryland has a bye after the OSU and is expected to lose by a large number this weekend.
It will be interesting to see if the Maryland players perform for their coach and upset the Buckeyes or lay down and get beat by 40.
Maryland has a statement saying that Randy is the head coach and will coach in Saturday's game. Edsall's contract runs until 2017.
