Move On Monday

There are some very similar parallels between this season and 1969.  Ivan Maisel from ESPN pointed this out.

  • 1969 was Bo's first year at Michigan
  • 1969 Michigan lost to a highly ranked non-conference opponent in Missouri
  • 1969 Michigan lost to MSU
  • 1969 Ohio State was ranked #1 and the defending National Champion.
  • 1969 Michigan upsets the #1 ranked Buckeyes.
If 2015 turns out the same way 1969 did, I will take it.

I guess you can argue either way if this is a good week for a bye.   I'm sure everyone needs a few days off, but at the same time I think getting on the field again next Saturday would have been very healing.  Either way, Michigan will be playing a night game in two weeks in chilly Minnesota.   The chip will be back on the Wolverines shoulder as the Golden Gophers have something that belongs back in Ann Arbor.

Looking at State's remaining schedule:

Home this week against Indiana.   IU has lost 3 in a row after playing #1 OSU very close.  Could be a trap game for Sparty.  IU struggles on defense but can score a few points.

@ Nebraska
Maryland
@ Ohio State
Penn State

It will be interesting to see what Sparty does with that schedule from here on out.

I'm sure many are wondering what would happen if:

OSU beats MSU
Michigan beats OSU

The higher ranked team would play in the Big 10 Championship game.  That probably does not bode well for the Wolverines if they have 2 losses.   There is a rule if two teams are ranked next to each other the head to head winner advances.

Michigan is ranked #15 in the AP.

The Michigan - MSU game had a 5.1 overnight rating which is the best October CFB game ever on ESPN and second best of the season for all networks.

antonio williams did commit to ohio on his visit for the Penn State game.

It would really be sweet to reel in Kareem Walker.

OK this could really be amazing:

R Gary DL (5*)
Carlo Kemp DE (4*)
K Walker RB (5*)
D Bush LB (4*)
I Nuata TE (5*)
L Jackson ATH (4*)
D Crawford WR (4*)
D Long CB (4*)

with borrowed from MGOFISH

Another fun note about his trip, Lamar Jackson spent the entire time with TE Isaac Nauta, CB David Long and WR Dylan Crawford. As for if they all liked it and if all four could see themselves playing together at the next level:

I never buy the package deals but Coach may pull this off. Half of the list above would be unreal! Class of 29 we will see..
