Michigan Thursday: Wolverine Faces In New Places

Ohio University has been known to take Michigan transfers and graduate transfers.  Keith Heitzman and Tom Strobel both transferred to the Bobcats in recent times.    Ohio is one of the better MAC teams and coached by former Nebraska head coach Frank Solich.  The latest is RB Wyatt Shallman who announced yesterday that he will attend Ohio U for his final year of eligibility as a U of M graduate transfer.   Good Luck Wyatt!

  • Former Michigan offensive analyst Jimmie Dougherty who left for Oregon to be the WR coach a couple of months ago, has decided to work for Jedd at UCLA as it's Passing Coordinator.   I wonder where I have heard that title before?

  • On Jimmy's staff, Chris Partridge has added Special Teams Coordinator to his current role of LB coach.

  • In Todd McShay latest Mock Draft.  He has Taco #11 and Peppers #17.  He also says that the Patriots might take Jake Butt with the final pick in Round 1 or Early in Day 2.

  • There are some rumors that there might be some big name departures from Michigan State.   These are just rumors at this point and we will see if anything comes out of it.

  • Michigan offered 2018 Iowa DL John Waggoner yesterday.

  • Greg Frey will get paid $500,000 a year for 3 years.  That is a $124K raise over what he was making at IU. Damn, Michigan is paying its assistant coaches these days!
