Michigan Tuesday: Not A Great Week For The McCaffrey's

The McCaffrey's have it pretty good.  Dad Ed is a former NFL WR and the head coach at Northern Colorado, Christian is All Pro RB for Carolina Panthers, Dylan is the expected starter at QB for Michigan, and Luke is a QB at Nebraska.   Another brother Max played football for Duke.

Then the seasons for Northern Colorado, Michigan, and Nebraska got cancelled in August.  That was just the start of the bad news.

  • The day the Big Ten reinstates football last week, Dylan is beaten out as Q1 and might have fallen all the way to QB3.  Opts out of the season and enters the transfer portal.
  • Sunday, Christian sufferers a high ankle sprain and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after leading the NFL in touchdowns through 2 weeks.
  • Nebraska is thrown under the bus by the BIG10 and starts the season against OSU, Wisconsin, and Penn State in the first month.
Been a tough few months for all of us, including the McCaffrey's.

  • Michigan is expected to get a 2022 TE commitment this morning from 3 star Marlin Klein.  He is 6'6 215 pounds from Georgia.  Committed!

  • Josh Metellus gets drafted by the Vikings, got cut, got re-signed to the Vikings practice squad, and now last weekend was promoted to the regular roster.
