Wolverine Wednesday: Midweek News & Notes

  • In sad news, former Michigan defensive lineman Craig Roh lost his battle with cancer.  Please keep a good thought for his wife and family.  Rest in peace Michigan Man.   Craig was 33 years young.
  • Dug will now be able to play on the road again.
  • Ohio State self-reported 4 recruiting violations and $13M in player salaries.
  • JJ might be the most discussed player at the combine this week.  Some say he is John Elway others aren't sure if he is a 1st round pick.
  • Michigan edge rusher Braiden McGregor says Lucas Oil Stadium feels like Schembechler Hall with how many Wolverines are here this week.
  • After winning three Big Ten titles here, Jaylen Harrell says Indy feels like “home.”

Could JJ be the next Justin Herbert or will he be the next Zach Wilson? It's really hard to say due to sample size. He just wasn't required to grip it and rip it very often due to the Michigan offensive scheme and a shut down defense. He very well could have the highest upside but at the same time be the biggest risk as his potential is truly unknown. I mean be honest, there were some games that JJ's accuracy left a lot to be desired. That near pick in the CFP semi-final at the beginning of the game cause me to jump out of my recliner and walk around the room muttering things that are unrepeatable! Thank God the DB was OB!

My heart goes out to the Roh family, thank you Craig for being true blue.

J.J. will be fine in the pros. I think he's a top 12 pick. I've seen enough QBs through the years. J.J. has the 4 qualities you want- arm, legs, brain, and heart.

The other intangible that all great QBs seem to have is hair. J.J. has great hair, too. Lol
