I don't know about you but it's very hard to watch Michigan struggle like they have this season after watching 3 years of sound fundamental football. I understand that those coaches took the last train for the coast and the players left for the NFL. You rarely see this type of drop off for the likes of Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State. Why? They recruit at a very high level and they also use NIL money to its fullest. When they have a gap in their roster they fill it with the best available player in the portal. Kansas State should not have a better QB on their roster than Michigan.
So now what? #11 USC comes to town.

The is Texas again and Lincoln Riley has had two weeks to play Tiddlywinks against the Michigan Defense. USC has an improved defense and if Michigan can't score, they won't win. You have to be able to move the ball and score points against these high powered offensive teams as they are going to score even against the best defenses in the country.
Great job with the schedule Warde! (and he wonders why the Michigan fans don't believe he is doing a good job). The Dusty hire is his one shining moment so far.

- The former MDen is expected to be sold this week either by top bidder or auction. With a bankruptcy judge approving the transaction on Friday. The sale is expected to be around $4.25M. Bidders are Legend who is the new Michigan Supplier and LIDS who is owned by Fanatics. Quick question to the Big House Blog community: Does the acquiring company owe the balance of the debt if they purchase the MDEN? For example, MDen owes U of M nearly $9M and millions more to other suppliers. Or are those suppliers out of luck after the $4.25M is dispersed?

The spread is only 5.5 points? Is Jim jones Kool-Aid still going around? I could see 15.5 points which might be low. I think Jimmy's National championship is the last one to be won under "build your team yourself" (although Harbaugh did plug some holes with Portal). Bob's right we are suffering because we are stuck in the stone age. We will not change philosophy, until we are pummeled a few more years. As many commenters stated "If you want to run with the pack, get off the porch" Someone else said that not me!

Answer to the Mden question - it really depends on the bankruptcy judge and the ruling. Secured debt is always first in line. Suppliers, unsecured debt, and equity get least if anything. That doesn’t mean a smart purchaser won’t want to make some offer to suppliers after the sale, but they aren’t obligated to.
I don’t know the specifics, but if the “sale” is $4.5m, then many people will lose out and/or get a big haircut. That’s a very good price to buy that asset.
Bob - Why are you blaming Warde for the schedule? Fresno was a good tune-up for Texas and Arkansas State was a good tune-up for BIG10 play. You realize Warde didn't schedule USC, right?
Just look what happened to Clemson...same reason Dabo refused use transfers portal...I don't know if I like this new college football, which is operating like the NFL....I like how things were back in the days....

Yeah, I know a lot of the top recruits are looking to get paid just to visit. I'll respect the people who are in the "I'm not paying kids just to visit or outrageous NIL deals before they play a down in college!" I get it, but then all I'll say is don't complain if the product is substandard. It's not my money, so I don't care how much you have to spend, put an entertaining product on the field. If a top QB recruit want $5K to come to AA, somebody paid the boy! If he wants near a 7 figure NIL, pay him. Otherwise, I'll find better things to do with my Saturday afternoons.

MichiganMan, doesn't matter what I think, its part of the game now. Not taking full advantage of the NIL and TP is like not taking advantage of the forward pass.....oh wait, that actually might be Michigan if they make Orji the starter! Again, not my money. Michigan gives a recruit a $1M NIL and he's a bust, no skin off my nose!
