Michigan Monday: Wake Up Warde, I've Got Something to Say to You

It's late in the season and you should be back at school.

When you lead an organization and an area of your business is going through a crisis, do you know what you really want the leader of that group (that is in crisis) to do?  Not be focused on doing another job for another organization.

Warde,
I know you struggle to understand why Michigan fans continue to call for your job, when you believe your doing an excellent job.  Warde you seem to struggle with the business side of Michigan Football.  To me you seem to be more of an academic administrator then a business executive.  I know the Domino's guy was complete disaster, but the Ford CEO did a pretty good job and got the program back on track.

You were really late to NIL, you completely botched the Harbaugh situation, you completely botched the hockey coach situation, probably botched the Coach B move to the NBA, and Dusty looks to be one of best moves you've made.  That is not a very good winning percentage.

You and Sherrone have completely screwed up this football season, with some of the best defensive players to have ever walked in the Schembechler Hall.  Let me list out the failures, just so you are aware of mistakes you've made.
  • No proactive planning for the 2025 season
  • Not finding any QB in the portal
  • Not brining in WR's
  • Sherrone has failed with his specialty of  offensive line development
  • Hiring of a washed up NFL DC that had no other options
  • Not brining in a former College Head Coach that could mentor Sherrone
  • Not leading with NIL until now
These bad decisions have cost Michigan a decent football season coming off a National Championship. Embarrassing loses to Illinois and Washington is just awful.   You have failed at your job this season and there is no other way to say it.

So now what?  FSU is going through a worse situation.  At least they tried to bring in a QB in the portal, it just didn't work for them.  They just fired their OC and DC yesterday.   Warde, you better be prepared to do the same.  You also better think long and hard if this job is too big for Sherrone.   Right now it looks like it is.   For me, its Bryce Underwood with a new OC and DC next season if Sherrone is to continue as head coach.

Warde you are paid to make the important decisions.  You let the best college football coach leave for the NFL because you were nickeling and diming him.  You should be fired just for that.   What do you think the pressure is going to look like when OSU lights up the scoreboard on the Wolverines in a few weeks?  You better have a plan and it better not be, staying the course.   If that is your plan, Santa will have a different plan for you.

You took the words out of my mouth! One coach is too old, and the rest are too incompetent for their positions. Keep Sherrone as the offensive line coach and offensive Co-Coordinator and hire a new head coach with a winning record as a head coach.

I've said it before I'll say it again: top coordinators are only going to come here if they feel they have no job security. Coordinators job security is typically tied to the job security of the HC. Does Sherrone Moore have job security past next year? Another 6-6 year or worse, Michigan going to give him year 3? The team will lose 5 players that are probably 1st round picks. Who's replacing them? Who's the QB next year? I just think you give Moore another year, its just a deeper hole that the next guy will have to dig his way out of. Just do the smart thing, buy out Moore and fire him after the OSU game.

So just went back and checked on the NoA. Michigan confirmed receipt on August 25th. They have 90 days to respond in writing to the NoA. Unless my math is wrong, 90 days is November 23rd, the day we play Northwestern. Now doesn't mean Michigan will wait till the last minute. Why do I bring this up? You're not getting any top shelf coach if he's going to be facing a ton of sanctions. Until we know what the sanctions are going to be, its going to be hard to hire anyone, HC, coordinator, ball boy. Well, maybe you can get a decent ball boy! Nobody is coming here to face a 2 year bowl ban. Now if I'm Michigan and Warde I offer up Moore and Campbell and any other coach that was on the staff under Harbaugh. I throw Harbs under the bus and in an effort to move on, cut ties with everyone that was associated with Harbaugh's staff!

Seems logical to me. But $7million a year to a new Head Coach might make him worry less about a bowl birth. Lol

I keep hearing nothing serious coming from the N.O.A., but just rumors. Who knows.

Sherrone looks like a little kid waiting at the bus stop on the sidelines. I never see him pulling a player over for instructions, talking on his head set, or jumping into a position meeting. But I did see him do a Great Brady Hoke impersonation by running and clapping like a seal at the end of the 3rd quarter. Embarrassing.

Rumor has it the Championship commeradery in the lockerroom is gone.

If Moore is back, even w new coordinators, it could be one of the worst seasons ever in UM history. Train is already off the tracks.

Brady, If that was the case, then why would the school wait till the 11th hour to respond? If it was a nothing burger, you'd think Warde and the school would want this in the rear view ASAP!

As to the comradery, if its truly gone, then you wonder when guys start pulling the plug and save themselves for the NFL. I really think WJ has played his last game for Michigan and tbh, I can't blame him. You have to wonder if a Loveland or a Graham isn't going to pull the plug and call it a college career very soon.

True. But w Head Clown Warde, you never know.

So many things don't make sense under Warde. He's known for years that Jimmy would leave for the NFL, yet had no contingency plan ready. And if Sherrone was it, that's even more scary. Warde couldn't even retain the S&C coach Ben Herbert. No NIL plan until now. And now, no accountability for this dreadful season. Someone has to be responsible for this mess, and don't say Jimmy.

Picking Coordinators is a personal thing to a head coach. It is an extension of who they are. Jimmy had to replace coordinators almost every other season, and didn't miss a beat. Do you honestly think Sherrone is capable of choosing new coordinators? Pssssh. He could've poached almost any coordinator before this season even started and look at who he picked. Why would he do better picking new ones? He knew he would be UM Head Coach one day, it was in his contract. He should've been laying in bed at night dreaming of his new coordinators every night.

Sherrone is in over his head, but UM is not about to fire their first black head coach of the program. No way. But, the rest can surely get fired. Recruiting is good so would need Sherrone to close those deals. But he will find himself squarely on the hot seat next season with potentially much less starting talent on the roster. Going to be a tough "show me" year. If you're willing to pay big $$ for Underwood, you better be willing to pay big $$ for elite coaching talent to coach these kids up.
