- Michigan had a number of players on the Big Ten - Sporting News All Freshman Team as you might expect. The current members are: Tate Forcier, Roy Roundtree, Jordan Kovacs, and Craig Roh.
- Coach Rod was at a banquet and on the radio this morning and addressed a few issues: Brandon Smith missed the last team meeting and he expects him to transfer. On a side note Brandon's mom would prefer if he stayed at U of M. Boubacar is interested in getting back on the team, but still has a number of academic goals he needs to reach. Warren continues to look into the NFL but has not made a final decision and continues to communicate with the Michigan coaches.

- Michigan coaches talk about the passing of Chris Henry: RR: “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Chris Henry,” Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez said this morning in a statement released by the university.“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his fiancé, children and their families as they deal with this sudden and tragic loss. “I enjoyed our time together at West Virginia, and we shared a lot of great moments. I have many fond memories of our three years together and will remember those forever. Chris will be missed by many, and he will always have a place in my heart.
Calvin Magee: “I am in shock over the news of Chris Henry’s passing. I remember recruiting Chris to West Virginia like it was yesterday. “He came from a humble background and was a wonderful young man and football player. Chris was like a son to me, and I will cherish all the great memories that I have of him. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.”
