Roster Departures

Coach Hoke confirmed that these 5th year seniors will not be on the team this next season:  Center Rocko Khoury, long snapper George Morales, receiver Terrence Robinson and tailback Michael Cox.

The only real surprise was Rocko's departure because of David Molk graduating.   TRob, George and Mike Cox were not regular contributors and not really expected back.

Rocko did struggle during the Sugar Bowl and I'm sure saw the writing on the wall.   All 4 guys are expected to graduate and the decision to leave is their own.   All guys will be able to transfer and play right away if they graduate and enter a graduate program at the new school that is not available at Michigan.

Center depth goes from Rocko to guys that have never played center this spring.   If you drive by Schembechler Hall this summer expect to see a ton of shot gun snaps from at least 3 guys.   Trob did a decent job of covering punts and kickoffs last year.   Mike Cox was always known to be full of talent in practice.   I expect he will go for like 1500 yards with Bowling Green next year or something.

I know these departures it does not add to the scholarship total but what is the reason why?

Becuase I believe none of these were surprises and the coaches were expecting them not to be back.

With out these guys, I think there were like 17 spots so the 2013 class at 20-23 is still a good estimate.
